VietSoftware International signed Onsite Project with Ryobi Systems Co.Ltd, Japan

 

On 30 March in Okayama, Japan , VietSoftware International’s CEO- Mr.Le Xuan Hai and Mr.Fuminobu Sakamoto- Vice President Representative Director of Ryobi Systems has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Agreement of Cooperation on software project development. The signing ceremony was organized in the presence of the two companies' top executives and onsite engineers in Head quarter of Ryobi Systems. Ryobi Systems Co, Ltd established in June, 1965, is a provider of software and system services. It had 580 staff in 2006 and achieved sale amount of JPY 9,800,000,000 in the fiscal year 2006..

According to the MOU, VietSoftware International will partner with Ryobi Systems in providing software engineers for the Fujisaki Software Development Center, located at Okayama, Japan from 1 – 3 years. In the first phase, 3 VietSoftware International software engineers will start working from 2 April 2007, and 2 companies expect to exchange more onsite engineers in the next years. These engineers will play important roles as Bridge System Engineer in onsite/offshore projects between Ryobi Systems and VietSoftware International in 2008 and after.

VietSoftware International attend the APTECH - IT Job fair

 

To meet the human resource requirement for recent and future outsourcing projects, VietSoftware International has joint a job fair: APTECH – IT Job’s Day on 18/3/2007 at Hanoi IT Transaction Center. Drawing attention of more than two thousand of the events’ participants, and almost three hundred applicants’ information (contact information, education background, and career interests) was the result of the job fairs. A thousand VietSoftware International’ leaflets were handed out and many concerns of the participants were answered. One day after, HR dept receive more than 300 application for one 100 positions in project teams. Through the strict recruitment process, VietSoftware International hope to receive the prospective candidates to join to work in professional working environment with competitive benefit packages.

Fujitsu Service Association (FSA) Mid-Japan Branch visit VietSoftware International

 

With vigorous interest in the emerging outsourcing market of Vietnam, on 8th March 2007, a delegation of Fujitsu Service Association (FSA) Mid-Japan Branch visited VietSoftware International. The delegation of executive leaders of 8 Japanese software companies in Okayama, Hiroshima, Shimane and Yamaguchi Prefectures was warmly welcomed by VietSoftware International’ CEO, Mr.Le Xuan Hai, and his executive board of directors and senior managers. In open discussion and study of the delegation on the current situation and possibility of Onsite/Offshore projects, Mr. Hai introduced supporting information of the market and experience in offshore projects which are being carried out for US and Japanese companies. Among those Japanese companies is one key membership company of FSA. The two parties also talked about cooperative orients in the future. With the experience in collaboration with Fujitsu, VietSoftware International desires and engages to expand cooperation and development relationship with partner companies of Fujitsu in Japan.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung joins VietSoftware International as member of BOD

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung holds a PhD. Degree in IT and Applied Mathematics from Belarusian State University, Minsk (former USSR), a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering – from Azerbaijan University of Technology, Baku (former USSR). Since late eighties of last century, he was a member of the software team in Hanoi, developed one of the first software outsourcing projects in Vietnam for France market. He also has rich experience in IT manpower development while participated in Vietnam IT Training Project, the ODA project funded by Japanese Government from 1997-2002.

Dr. Tung has 4 years working with IBM Vietnam as General Business & Finance Market Manager. Being the Director of Software & Service Development, he contributes strong expertise in business development and professional workforce building for the growth of software production & services at VietSoftware International.

January 29, 2007: Japan Society , Economy and Industrial Society 

Mr. Tanaka Ryu - a member of Vietnam-Japan Culture Association was invited to have a seminar to VietSoftware International members on Monday, January 29, 2007. Figures, facts and also Industrial style were made in order for people to understand thoroughly their customers. Questions about specific business situations were also given so that attendance could draw lessons for their work with the Japanese. This is a part of training subjects helping the company to handle better customer service for VSII's strategic Japanese market.

January 24, 2007: VSII launches branch office in Ho Chi Minh City 

VietSoftware International's branch office, led by Ms. Tran Thuong Thu Giang was officially launched and located at Vietnam National University’s IT Park, in Thu Duc area, Ho Chi Minh City. This is one of the steps in a strategy for providing software outsourcing services in South Vietnam. By setting up this office VietSoftware International aims to enhance contacting with international clients, offer direct software services in Ho Chi Minh City. In the near future, this will be the working place of more than 150 software engineers who will work in important projects between us and our valued clients in America, Japan and France.

January 02, 2007: Membership of Vietnam Software Association (VINASA)  

VINASA is a national association in Vietnam, operating on a non-governmental and not-for-profit basis and currently comprises 100 corporate members, most of whom are leading software firms operating nationwide. With the flag role in outsourcing service provider in Vietnam, VietSoftware International will try its best to contribute for software industry in Vietnam and share technologies and work experience with other members especially in software outsourcing services.

Tokyo Bigsight Information

From 17 to 21 October 2006, thanks to the supports of VINASA, Mr. Le Xuan Hai on behalf of VietSoftware International(VSII) has attended the “Small & Medium Enterprise Exhibition & Exchange – Tokyo Bigsight” in Tokyo, Japan, together with other Hanoi small and medium enterprises’ representatives. In this occasion, Mr. Le Xuan Hai has made an important speech in front of the Japanese Telecommunications Association and the Hanoi Small & Medium Enterprises Association.
At the same time, Mr. Le Xuan Hai has met and worked with some significant partners of VSII and also visited JETRO Office in Tokyo with the main purpose of preparing for the opening VSII representative office in Japan.
From 18 October 2006, Mr. Hai has visited and worked at the exhibition stall of VSII at Tokyo Bigsight.
Besides these activities, Mr. Hai has also participated in other exchange activities between Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises to acquire experiences, as well as to strengthen the solidarity between VSII and both domestics and abroad partners.

Through the important business trip, the CEO of the VSII Company has successfully established, as well as consolidated the good relationship with Japanese companies that VietSoftware International has highly oriented.

Approaching Embedded Technology at Japanese Market

With the goal of expanding market to Japan, from 14/Nov to 19/Nov, the delegation of VietSoftware International(VSII), represented by Mr. Le Xuan Hai – CEO, has  attended the Information Technology and Telecommunications Summit Conference ASOCIO 2006 in Tokyo. In this Conference, various issues have been openly discussed such as IT Business in the Borderless Economy, Regional Trends of IT market; business, R&D project, Corporate Compliance for IT Service Business, Human Resource Development and Skill Standard for IT Service Business, and so on.
At the same time, VSII members visited the Embedded Technology Exhibition 2006 at Yokohama. In the exhibition, the latest technologies and the solutions for integrating embedded application have been presented.
Through the trip, VSII has gained precious experiences as well as opportunities to approach the IT Market of Japan, particularly in Embedded Technology area.

May, 18th 2006: Presenting with NTT Data delegation

After many times visiting Vietnam, NTT Data, Japan decides to do offshore strategy with Vietnamese companies in medium term (as Mr. Yamada, VP said in Feb. 2006). To make this true, 15 project managers of NTT Data visit Vietnam this time and want to have a meeting with Vietnam Software companies. They will themselves appraise capability of Vietnamese software companies to select a suitable projects and models for offshore development.

VietSoftware International has presented company profile and Japan Market Strategy to delegation and made conversations with NTT Data's project mangers to find the business exchange.

April, 14th 2006: CEO of Prime System Design (PSD), Mr. Ichihara Masayuki visits VietSoftware International Office

On the investigating in Vietnam to find partner for outsourcing service, PSD's delegation paid its first session at VietSoftware International office to find and exchange information to promote business in Vietnam. CEO of VietSoftware International, Mr. Le Xuan Hai has presented company profile, Japan Market strategy to PSD's delegation and PSD's CEO confirmed to promote business between two company and support VietSoftware International on business activities.

March, 17th 2006: Sumitomo Corp's delegation visits VietSoftware International

A Sumitomo delegation led by Manager of Planning & Administration Dept, Transportation & Construction Systems, Business Unit, Mr. Yasuyuki Hattori, paid a working visit to VietSoftware International on March, 17th 2006. The visit aimed to discover the capability of VietSoftware International and find the opportunities to co-operate in software service field.

February, 14th 2006: Nguyen Thanh Phuong - VietSoftware International's employee - participated in RIVF conference

Started for 4 years ago, RIVF initiated from the researchers in Computer Science, mostly from francophone countries such as France, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland and their PhD student from Vietnam. Nowadays, RIVF is IEEE international Conference. This year, the conference took place at the Ho-Chi-Minh City University of Technology, Viet Nam, from February 12 to 16, 2006. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, a member of VietSoftware International, participated in the conference as an author. His research result recently was presented in a paper, named “Amélioration des performances d'un système de détection de visages”. February, 2006: VietSoftware International conducted 2 SOA internal training courses

Late Jan and early Feb 2006, 2 training courses on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) were conducted at VietSoftware International's training center.

The first is a brief introduction for VietSoftware International's managers and senior engineers, presented by Mr. Le Xuan Hai - the CEO.

The second was conducted by VietSoftware International training manager and lasted 4 days. 25 engineers attended this course. Evaluating the course, many learners said that they would introduce it for their co-workers, not only because of the topic but also because of lecturers' mastery.

VietSoftware International is going to conduct 2 new courses on SOA in Feb and Mar 2006.
