Dr. Tran Luong Son founded VietSoftware in 2000 and VietSoftware International in 2002 to build a world-class software development and outsourcing company and lead Vietnam to become a world leader in the IT services marketplace. Prior to founding VietSoftware, Dr. Tran held several senior operations positions in various private domestic firms.

Dr. Son holds a Master of Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Ph.D. from the University of Moscow, and was a research fellow at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise. He is a Fulbright Scholar, President of the Northern Vietnamese Software Cluster and the author of several strategy papers for the cluster.

Mr. Hai has over 22 years of professional computer science experience. For his study, after gaining Honours Bachelors in Maths & Computing Science in 1984, he gained a scholarship for a Post Graduate course in Computer Graphics for 2 years in Germany from 1988; in 1993 he earned AIDAB (Australian International Development Assistance Bureau) scholarship for Master in Computing Science, University of New England, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA. The master and knowledge he obtained during his time abroad helps him a lot in his professional development. He is a co-founder of VietSoftware Inc., in position of Vice General Director and the CTO of the company from its foundation in March 2000. Prior to being CTO of VietSoftware and now CEO of VSI-International, he has experience in a lot of companies with senior positions, such as Team Leader in image recognition and OCR programming, Project Manager of 5 software development teams in an outsourcing project to France in 1992-1993, Information Technology Manager for Caterpillar dealership for Vietnam (1995-1998), Director Technology and co-founder for Information Technology and Electronics Enterprise of ELINCO Company (1998-2003), Consultant of The National Institute for Post and Telematics Strategies of the Ministry of Post and Telematics (2003- 2005).

Ms. Lien has 20 years of computer training and software development. She gained Honours Bachelor in Electronics at Moscow Power Engineering University, Russia (1984) and Master of Computer Science at Victoria University, Australia (1997). She is also an AIDAB (Australian International Development Assistance Bureau) scholar.

She used to work as Project Manager, Senior Engineering Manager for several software outsourcing companies including Paragon Solutions Vietnam, a subsidiary of Paragon Solutions, Inc., U.S.A; Coco Software Engineering Vietnam Ltd., a subsidiary on Coco Software Engineering Gmbh., Austria. One of the domains she had expertise is banking software solution, as she was Project manager and Business analyst for a local partner of Temonos Systems (UK) Ltd., which provided its banking software solution for Techcombank in Vietnam.

Being Director Operations and Director Quality Assurance of VietSoftware International, she brings and applies here broad experience in project management, software outsourcing as well as other areas of expertise.

Since obtaining Honours Bachelor in Information Technology, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Phong has 12 years of computer and software development. He was Researcher and Software Engineer of Vietnam Institute of Electronics and Informatics for 6 years. He joined VSI for 5 years and worked as Team Leader, Senior Manager and then Unit Director. Prior to that he experienced offshore software development as Senior Software Engineer of a subsidiary of Paragon Solutions, Inc., U.S.A. Mr. Phong is a Director Board member and Vice CTO of VietSoftware International.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung holds a PhD. Degree in IT and Applied Mathematics from Belarusian State University, Minsk (former USSR), a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering – from Azerbaijan University of Technology, Baku (former USSR). Since late eighties of last century, he was a member of the software team in Hanoi, developed one of the first software outsourcing projects in Vietnam for France market. He also has rich experience in IT manpower development while participated in Vietnam IT Training Project, the ODA project funded by Japanese Government from 1997-2002.

Dr. Tung has 4 years working with IBM Vietnam as General Business & Finance Market Manager. Being the Director of Software & Service Development, he contributes strong expertise in business development and professional workforce building for the growth of software production & services at VietSoftware International.
